Kimmie, Come See What We Found!

Charlie and Gianna took the trash out after dinner one night. I heard him calling me and wondered what could be wrong. This is what I found.
Charlie had moved the Goldwing to the other side of the garage and Gianna found it! She liked that bright yellow!
Maddie followed me out and decided that she wanted to ride also. She gave Charlie a hug and said, "I love you, Grand Dad."
Look at her go!!!!
Look at that expression!

Afternoon Walk

When we came home on Tuesday, I opened up the garage door so we could put the garbage can up. Maddie saw the Goldwing and went straight to it. She told Grand Dad that she sure would like to sit on that motorcycle.
Maddie wanted to check out Grandma Kimmie's chair on the motorcyle.
Then Gianna spotted the little red wagon on the other side of the garage.

Of course, Tsunami had to come along on the walk also.
Pretty soon, Maddie wanted out so she could hold Tsunami's leash.

Gianna decided that riding wasn't the thing to do and she wanted out. She wanted to hold the leash also but Grand Dad convinced her to help him pull the wagon instead.

I just love this photo of Gianna and Grand Dad!

Garden Visitor

When I went outside to move the sprinkler, I noticed a visitor on one of the grape vines. Can you spot him?

He just sat there looking at me so I decided to go grab the camera. When I came back, he was still there.

I think that I disturbed him because he headed up one of the new stalks of the grape vine.
However, he still didn't run away. Perhaps, he was posing for the camera!

Weekend at Kimmie and Grand Dad's

The day started early with the girls helping me make cinnamon rolls. Gianna was quick to go outside with me but Maddie had a boo-boo on her toe and said that the grass would hurt it. Gianna didn't want to get dirty but wanted to wear a pair of my dirty garden gloves.
After Gianna saw me digging in the dirt, planting seeds and spreading the mulch - she decided to help me. Boy, did that one pot with sunflower seeds have a lot of mulch!
Melissa gave me a pot, soil and Sweet Pea seeds for the girls to plant with me. Maddie said she could come outside and stay on the patio since the grass would hurt her toe. She counted the seeds and Gianna added dirt to the pot...and took it out...and added some more...and took it out....

After planting seeds and plants, we had to water the plants and check out all of the blossoms.

After all of our gardening, Gianna had to journal about the activities of the day and Maddie had to write a list of things to do - clean the den, pick up her toys.....

It was a good day for everyone!

Headed Overseas!

Jason left just a few minutes ago on a bus headed to Cherry Point, VA where he will fly to Ireland, Romania, Kurkistan, Germany and then Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan. It was pretty neat meeting the officers and other Marines while we waited on the truck and bus. After they loaded up the bus, Marines on the base played Taps and took the flag down. Here are some of the photos from the day.
Jason took a picture of us after he loaded the bus but pulled back in from the window before I could get one of him!

Aggie Ring Ceremony!

The time arrived for Natalie to go in and receive her ring. Adam Frazier has requested that he be able to give it to her.
Adam requested two forms of ID even though he has known her for about 21 years! Rules are rules, you know!

Adam pulls out the ring box but tells Natalie that a mistake was made. Instead of Class of 2010, her ring says Class of 2001!
Natalie catches on and realizes that Adam and Melissa have cooked up this prank!
Now, Adam gives Natalie her Aggie Ring!
All Aggie Smiles!
Look at the SHINE! Gig 'Em, Aggies!
Maddie is confused - UH Cougar Claw or A&M Gig 'Em!
Still showing off the ring all the way home!
Michelle and Natalie compare their Aggie Rings! (These girls look a little different than they did in first grade in Mrs. Evans' classroom!)
Time for the Ring Dunking - with a few modifications! We used Aggie Champagne (maroon, of course!) and a more petite "pitcher."
Adam kept track of her time and Natalie "dunked" her ring!
Here are some photos that we took the next day when it wasn't so crowded!
